Michelangelo Scandroglio,
con apenas veinte años, ha sido considerado una de las promesas más interesantes del jazz italiano. Fue uno de los ganadores del Riga International Jazz Bass Competition, ganó el premio Tomorrow's Jazz 2018 de jóvenes talentos del jazz italiano, fue el ganador del “Conad Jazz Contest” organizado por Umbria Jazz y otorgado por un jurado presidido por Paolo Fresu. Obtuvo el segundo lugar en el Top Jazz 2020 de Musica Jazz.
En 2021 ganó el Concurso Internacional de Jazz de Getxo en Bilbao. En 2022 fue seleccionado para el prestigioso Betty Carter Jazz Ahead en el Kennedy Center de Washington D.C.
