The Paper Club acoge por segundo año consecutivo el 'Festival Día de Reyes' que tanto éxito obtuvo la pasada edición. Por petición pública repite cartel Texxcoco, que estará acompañado en el escenario por Sherba Mate. Una noche especial, para un día especial en la que la música alternativa toma todo el protagonismo.
Texxcoco, considerada por muchos medios nacionales como la banda canaria con más proyección y una de las revelaciones del rock nacional, trae calentito a The Paper club su esperado álbum 'Disorder'. Y lo hace un mes antes de su lanzamiento con la prestigiosa discográfica madrileña 'Subterfuge Records'. La banda grancanaria de rock alternativo, afincada en Madrid, se lanza de nuevo a la carretera, tras cien conciertos a sus espaldas en apenas año y medio, y su primera parada no puede ser otra que en casa, en The Paper Club, donde arrancaron 2017 con un Sold out en la primera edición del Festival de día de Reyes.
Por su parte, Sherba Mate nace a principios de 2017 de las cenizas de otras bandas de Gran Canaria. Formada por Fruncho López (Así Se Murió) y Alejandro Heron (ASM, Locutorio, Nimañana), cuentan con el respaldo de Ismael Santana a la segunda guitarra y Guillermo Santana a la batería. Con influencias directas de bandas como Queens of the Stone Age o Death From Above 1975, este cuarteto entremezcla distorsiones desérticas y Riffs apisonadores con los ritmos más bailables del indie de principios de los 2000’s. Tras su paso por varias salas conocidas de la Isla, prometen regresar a The Paper Club con los instrumentos bien afilados.
