Alegransa es el nombre que recibe esta formación que agrupa a algunos de los más prestigios  intérpretes de Canarias, que a través de sus voces e instrumentos antiguos, interpretan música popular de las orillas del Atlántico que han participado en la cultura de nuestras islas (Latinoamérica, África y Canarias).

 



“Cuerdas en el Aire”, es un espectáculo que atrapa por igual a los amantes de la música tradicional y folclórica, y aquellos otros que se sitúan en la órbita de la denominada música culta.

Sonidos populares que son reinterpretados desde un espíritu camerístico con la pulcra dimensión que otorga toda una variada instrumentación antigua, (desde tiorbas a guitarras barrocas pasando por archilaúdes) al que también se suma, como no podía ser de otra forma, otros tantos instrumentos  (mandolina, contrabajo, percusión, timple, contra) que enriquecen de manera generosa el resultado de esta singular propuesta.
