…And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead es una banda de art rock creada en 1993 en Austin, Texas, muchas veces comparada con bandas como Sonic Youth, The Who y Unwound. Se caracterizaron por destrozar su equipo después de cada concierto, tradición asociada a otras muchas bandas como Nirvana, The Who, etc. Según la explicación que dan en su web tomaron el nombre de la banda de un antiguo canto ritual Maya, aunque se rumorea que es una pequeña mentira del grupo. Los actuales componentes del grupo son:

Conrad Keely – Voz, guitarra, Percusiones y piano.
Jason Rice – Batería, voz y guitarra.
Kevin Allen – Guitarra y voz.
Danny Wood – Bajo y voz.
Doni Schroeder – Batería y Percusión.
